Guest of Honour this year is 1969 SSDT winner Bill Wilkinson who will be interviewed as he flags off the 281 competitors, starting with rider number one, Carlos Casas, the first Spaniard to lead off the SSDT in the events’ 108 year history at 07:30 GMT. Trials Guru’s John Moffat said: “This will be my twelfth year helping Nevis Radio with their SSDT coverage, which has improved year on year with new ideas being introduced each year which is fantastic. I really enjoy promoting the sport of trials both through my own website, Trials Guru and Nevis Radio.”
John Hulme of Trial Magazine UK stated: “I’m delighted to have been able to support Nevis Radio with their outside broadcasts during the Scottish Six Days Trial for some years now and I know that Michelin take a great interest in the broadcasts, which is all good for the event and the sport.”
Nevis Radio have secured a broadcast unit from where the outside broadcasts will take place from the local division of MOWI ASA (formerly Marine Harvest) and wish to thank the group for their co-operation and generosity during SSDT week.
Live video and drone footage from this years’ SSDT will be supplied by John Hird and Matt Betts direct to Nevis Radio, this is the first time this has been done.
