SSDT Results 1909-1932 The Ed Stott Archive – Volume 1

Newly released exclusively on Trials Guru, ‘The Ed Stott SSDT Results Archive – Volume 1’, covers the early years, 1909 through to 1932 when the results awarded an overall winner for the first time. Only 1925 is omitted as the results are currently missing, we hope to address this in the future if they come to hand.

Ed Stott had accumulated much data on the Scottish Six Days Trial and that information has now been passed on to Trials Guru for safe keeping.

We believed that this information was long gone and that is why the SSDT results records were incomplete. Not anymore, they are freely available to anyone worldwide who is interested to learn ‘who won what’ at the SSDT!

Volume 2 is already being prepared, but will take longer to produce as the results need to be ranked in order of scores.

Volume 3 has just been negotiated with the McColm family, the descendants of the late Jim McColm, who was SSDT Secretary from 1970 to 1994, and latterly a director and Company Secretary of the Edinburgh & District Motor Club Ltd. Trials Guru have been given specific permission to reproduce the routes and results of the SSDT from 1970 to 1994 in Jim’s memory, taken from his book published in May 1995 – ‘Six Days in May’. The book has been out of print since 1995. Trials Guru is indebted to Brenda, Kara and Kyle McColm for their co-operation and permission.
