Iain Lawrie, who worked at the British Aluminium Co. Ltd Kinlochleven smelter.

It gives great pleasure in presenting Iain Lawrie’s photos, many of which are from past Scottish Six Days trials, to readers of Trials Guru. Iain has been taking photographs for over 40 years, his early ones in black and white. Trials Guru is honoured to be able to let readers view Iain’s handy-work. Iain is proud of his upbringing in the small town of Kinlochleven where the SSDT made use of many sections in the Leven Valley area. Many of these hills and paths were discovered by local man Ian Pollock, whose story is also on this website. Ian Pollock article

GOV132, probably the most famous of all trials machines was the Ariel HT5 used by Sammy Miller from 1956-1964. Iain Lawrie took this photograph at the 2011 SSDT.
