Continuing our coverage of trials in the south west area of the UK, we have created – “West Country Trials – Take 2”.
…
Trials enthusiast, Linda Ashford has agreed to let us make use of some of her photographs taken at south-west events in the UK. Seen here astride Dave Frys’ Fantic, Linda is a keen amateur photographer, married to Hedley with three children and six grand-children.
She has been attending trials with her husband for over forty five years, started off observing as it was easier when her children were small.
“Hedley brought me my first camera about eighteen years ago and then about five years ago he brought me my a digital camera which I use now.
I still observe even now if clubs are struggling, but they all know – it has to be a hard section”.
Linda still take pictures when she is observing, usually getting all the riders, the downside being is that she miss some crashes!
Linda tries to go to an event most weekends whether it’s observed trials, classic trials or time-trials.
Linda: “I find trials riders are really friendly, I’ve got some good friends through motorcycling”.
