A seasonal message from Trials Guru:
It’s December and here in Trials Guruland it’s cold and wet outside. For sure, there are trials going on regardless of the weather, but it’s a good time to take stock of the past year and to make plans and look forward to the future.
We have had some great times in the sport this year, but also some sad ones too, with the loss of H. Martin Lampkin, the worlds’ first Trials Champion. However, we will be extending our special tribute section ‘Lampkin of Silsden‘ in the new year by adding a feature about Martin by way of tribute to a great rider and sportsman of our age.
Trials Guru would not function if it wasn’t for you, the reader, the user of this website.
So many thanks for ‘looking in’ either regularly or occasionally, you choose how you use Trials Guru, you are our guest.
We hope you enjoy the experience, if not why not tell us?
You after all, have been responsible for making ‘Trials Guru’:
The Premier Trial Sport Website for photos, articles, news and the history of motorcycle trials!
- To the photographers who have given us their work to showcase, the world over as it happens, because we now have viewers from all over the globe, day in day out, night in, night out!
The photographers are super people who trust Trials Guru to act sensibly and to display their handiwork by acknowledging every single image, that is what we do. Every image has the words: ‘Photo courtesy of’ or ‘Copyright of’. We are always respective of the photographers property, please do likewise and do not copy and display elsewhere without first obtaining permission. We can help, send us a request and we will see if we can obtain permission for you.
So a huge thank you to our photographers!
Don’t forget the Trial event organisers, officials, observers and of course the riders themselves… Thank you all!
Thanks are due to the trials media and press who support us: Sean Lawless; John Hulme; Nige Pearson and many more. We obtain their permission from time to time to represent their articles when the opportunity allows.

We are already working on plans for 2017 which will be with us in a few days, to bring you more articles, facts, figures, photos and information from the world of motorcycle trials.
Keep visiting, we will try hard to bring you what we were set up for, because we are:
- Running Free of Charge or Subscription
- Dedicated to the Sport
- Love Trials
