After four years of Trials Guru on the web, we have decided to change our headline slogan from “Photos from the sport of trials” to something more aligned with what Trials Guru is about… “It’s All About Motorcycle Trials” and that of course includes electric trials as they have a ‘motor’.
Still Trials Guru, the independent, not for profit website which is recording the history of the sport from the start to the current day.
Trials Guru, made by trials riders and enthusiasts, for trials riders and enthusiasts!
Bob MacGregor (Rudge) in the 1939 SSDT, a trial he won twice (1932 & 1935) and remains the only Scotsman to have won the SSDT in the events 109 year history
The annual Bob MacGregor Memorial Road Run takes place on Tuesday 1st May at Killin.
Organised by Westmorland Motor Club it is open to motorcycles and has a loop of around 139 miles in rural Perthshire.
Up and running on Trials Guru is a special section dedicated to the trials stars of the South with the help of former Southern Centre Champion, Roger Johns.
Since it’s launch in 2014 Trials Guru has used the same layout throughout, but the time was right to have a little refresh using the same platform. The layout is a little different, but the content remains the same, it’s all about trial!
We hope that you enjoy the refresh, but it’s still TRIALS GURU – Dedicated to the Sport!

Thank you for viewing Trials Guru in 2017, it is much appreciated and we are always appreciative of our contributors, whether that be photographic or the written word!
Here is a short video compilation which looks back on the Trials Guru’s season, 2017.
It’s called ‘2017 – Rewound’ – sorry if anyone is missed out, it certainly wasn’t intentional.
Looking forward to 2018 already!
Yours in Sport,
The Trials Guru

Iain Lawrie from Kinlochleven, an enthusiast of trials since the early 1970s.
To publicise the work of our esteemed contributor, Iain Lawrie, Trials Guru has made a short photo montage clip for You Tube social media.
Entitled: ‘Trials Guru – Iain Lawrie Collection 2017’
The quiet man of trials photography, Iain is originally from Kinlochleven and has been taking SSDT and other trial photographs for 40 years and we are delighted to share his handiwork to the world.
What better way than to do a little promo video, after all it’s the modern way!
We hope you enjoy…
